Who it’s for

Charities and faith organisations beginning to clarify a case for support or plan a future funding bid.

What we can discuss with you

  • Defining the need, intended outcomes and case for support
  • Gathering relevant evidence, local insight and working assumptions
  • Planning application materials, responsibilities and review
  • Testing readiness for a particular funding opportunity

How the support could work

If a scoped conversation is agreed, the support would help a team get clearer about the story, evidence and practical preparation a funding application may require.

  1. Clarify the change you want to make

Start with the need, who the work is for and the outcomes the organisation is trying to achieve.

  2. Build the case and evidence

Bring together the relevant evidence, local insight, working assumptions and practical detail for a clear, honest case for support.

  3. Plan a proportionate bid process

Identify the materials, responsibilities, review points and preparation a possible bid would need.

  4. Review readiness and agree the next action

Decide whether a particular opportunity is worth pursuing and what the most proportionate next action would be.

What the work could give you

If a scoped conversation is agreed, the aim would be to leave the organisation clearer about:

  • the need, intended outcomes and story it needs to communicate
  • the evidence, roles and preparation that may be needed
  • whether a particular opportunity is worth pursuing and what to do next

Choose the support you need

Grant application support is available on three fee bases, with payment upfront:

  • Hourly support: an agreed block of hours for research, advice, preparation or revisions, paid before work starts.
  • Per application: a fixed fee for preparing an application, with the scope agreed and payment made before preparation starts.
  • Application review: a fixed fee to review an existing application and recommend improvements, paid before the review starts.

Your written proposal will confirm the work included, timescale and fee before you commit. Fees cover the agreed work and are payable regardless of the funder's decision. We do not charge a percentage of an award or defer payment until funding is secured. Funding is not guaranteed.

From a first question to agreed work

We first check whether the work is a suitable fit and whether we have availability. A written proposal sets out the work, what you will receive, timing and fees. Grant application work starts only after the engagement is agreed and payment is received upfront.

An enquiry does not book work or commit you to a fee. Keep your first outline brief and avoid sending personal or sensitive records.
